Our baby girl turned 1 month old on Saturday. Ellen has grown from a wrinkly newborn to an alert, chubby baby this past month. She is just beginning to fit into her 0-3 month clothes, like the outfit she has on in the photo, and will soon fit into size 2 diapers. Within the past few days she has begun to smile at us, too, which is such a thrill. Ellen loves to play on her playmat, eat, sleep and cuddle with Mommy and Daddy. Ellen also likes being in her car seat and car rides, as long as
they're not too long, and all of the attention she receives from our
church after service and any other visitors. Most babies like the comfort of being swaddled, but not our baby; she practically wriggled her way out of the swaddle blanket the few times I had her in it and will kick off any blanket I put on her, and I even have to distract her while I zip her into her sleeping bag so she at least will stay covered at night.
Our lives have definitely changed and for the better. We love being parents to our daughter and are still amazed at God's gift to us. We have truly appreciated our parents making trips over to meet Ellen and spend time with us in our early days of parenthood, as well as, the plethora of cards and gifts we've received from friends and family. We are truly blessed.
Okay, Ellen didn't enjoy the whole photo shoot, but this is such an adorable face, I just had to share!
