BBQ at Emily's

My friend Emily invited us over to her house for a BBQ today.  It really was a perfect day for it weatherwise, too - 26°C/80°F and sunny.  All week the weather has been fantastic and it will continue to be so at least the next few days.

 Mia, Emily's 2½ year old daughter, "showing" Ellen the book.  Ellen really liked Mia and cooed at her each time she came over.  Mia and Ellen are both half American!

This morning, after a snooze on Mommy's chest in bed, we came down stairs, and as I was putting away the dishes in the dishwasher, I decided Ellen's usual good mood in the morning ought to be caught on camera.  She tends to get grumpier as the day goes on.

 

Ellen has started gripping things this week like her clothes, blanket and my hair!
