Tid Bits

Last Thursday I took a few videos of Ellen just as we were finishing supper. Half way through Jeff started waving to Ellen so she would wave "bye bye" to the camera, and I think we actually caught her first wave on camera!  She loves to laugh at her daddy at supper... he's so funny.

Ellen and I attend Rhythm Time every Tuesday at the Theatre Severn, where mums sit with their babies - some are crawling around - and sing, tap rhythms, beat different instruments, dance and interact with the other babies. 

 Each baby gets a maraca to shake at the beginning of the class. Today we were given large Lego to stack to music then knock over.

 

A large colorful parachute was laid out on the floor for the babies to touch and look at.

We then did some arm to opposite foot reaches to the music.  The mummies are encouraged to sing along to the songs so the babies tune in to our voices and (hopefully) pick up more of the song and the rhythm.
